Autonomous Drone & AI Navigation Research
GarudX launched active R&D into AI-driven autonomous flight — developing visual-inertial navigation systems, GPS-denied SLAM-based flight, and swarm coordination algorithms. Research targets search-and-rescue automation and infrastructure inspection without human pilots.
Skyreaper Next-Gen UAV Platform
Finalization of the Skyreaper UAV prototype — a modular, next-generation drone platform engineered for long-endurance missions, swarm experimentation, and plug-and-play payload support. Designed and fabricated entirely in-house at GarudX's Lalitpur engineering facility.
International Expansion — Delhi & Oman
GarudX expanded internationally: organized a professional drone race event in Delhi, India, and collaborated with the Oman government to conduct a large-scale drone show and race event. GarudX also delivered specialist drone training workshops for international clients.
Genesis Relay Drone — Mountain Comms System
GarudX developed the Genesis relay drone — a custom UAV system that extends FPV communication range across rugged Himalayan terrain. Purpose-built for mountain film productions and high-altitude search-and-rescue operations where radio LOS is impossible.
High-Altitude Testing — Lobuche Peak, 6,120m
GarudX conducted extreme-environment UAV testing on Lobuche Peak at 6,120 metres above sea level — among the highest altitude drone deployments ever recorded in Nepal. Testing validated drone performance in sub-zero temperatures, thin air, and high-wind conditions.
Major Brand Aerial Campaigns
GarudX executed large-scale aerial cinematography and FPV production campaigns for leading brands including Red Bull, Toyota, Mahindra, Vianet Communications, and Nimbu Pani. Productions spanned commercial advertising, live-event coverage, and digital content.
Nepal Police — Life-Jacket Drop Deployment
GarudX's custom heavy-lift UAV was operationally deployed by Nepal Police for life-jacket dropping during flood search-and-rescue missions — one of the first documented disaster-response drone deployments by a Nepali law enforcement agency.
NDRL — Nepal Drone Racing League Founded
GarudX founded the Nepal Drone Racing League (NDRL) — South Asia's premier competitive FPV racing championship. The NDRL established a structured competitive ecosystem, licensed 140+ active pilots, and created a pathway for Nepal's next generation of drone engineers.
Nepal Army & Nepal Police — UAV Training
GarudX was contracted to deliver specialist drone training and operational demonstrations for Nepal Army and Nepal Police, covering FPV systems, anti-drone countermeasures, and disaster-response UAV deployment. Custom drone prototypes were evaluated for active service.
GX8-Pyro — Cinematic Pyrotechnic Drone
GarudX engineered the GX8-Pyro — a custom drone platform integrating live pyrotechnic payloads with high-speed FPV cinematography. Successfully deployed in Nepali film productions for explosive aerial effects, achieving shots previously impossible with conventional equipment.
Film Industry — Feature Films & Music Videos
GarudX drones entered mainstream Nepali cinema and music video production, executing complex FPV sequences, low-altitude chase shots, and high-speed reveal moves for feature films, OTT productions, and brand campaigns. This period cemented GarudX as Nepal's specialist aerial film unit.
Pioneer of FPV Cinematography in Nepal
GarudX began delivering professional FPV aerial cinematography in Nepal — the first company in the country to bring high-speed, proximity drone filming to commercial productions. Early work on music videos and brand content established the benchmark for aerial production in Nepal.
GarudX Founded — Lalitpur, Nepal
Adarsha Raj Bhusal founded GarudX Pvt. Ltd. in Lalitpur, Nepal, with almost 5 years of hands-on robotics and FPV drone experience. The company launched as an experimental UAV engineering group focused on custom-built FPV systems and high-performance aerial robotics — the foundation of everything GarudX is today.
